Business as a Solution to Poverty

It is amazing to me, that considering the infiltration of our education system by socialists (ie. unionize teachers, government bureaucrats setting curriculum) that we can still get bright lights for the free market like Kathleen Guglielmi, a Grade 12 student at Loyola Catholic Secondary School in Mississauga, Ontario. She has writtten a short essay on how business, not aid, is the solution to poverty in the developing world. For this she won the 2006 Fraser Institute Essay Content (High School). You can read her essay here.

Good point. Unionized teachers and bureaucrats wouldn't have their jobs but for taxpayers who work in the market economy, yet those two groups are incredibly anti-market. It's due time to separate education and state.
